Lakeview Farm

Lakeview farm was in the Dinsmoor family for many years. The original homestead was built in 1736.  Joseph W. Dinsmoor operated a lush and profitable orchard on the property. His sister built the beautiful Victorian house across from the original homestead which she operated as a boarding house for many years. The Walkey family purchased the property and operated Lakeview Golf Course here.  It was nine hole course and was popular with summer and town residents.
